Already left Japan?
- Match the place of loss to the contact above. The page lists phone numbers only; no online form is listed.
- Call in the +81 format (drop the leading 0), within the hours shown. The 050 number may not connect from abroad; if it does not, ask us to call.
- For anything not covered by the terminal desk or the airlines, the page says to ask Sakaiminato Police Station. It prints no number for the police.
- If the item is confirmed found, ask how long it will be held and what is needed to release it. The page states neither.
- Ask whether a representative may collect it and what documents are needed. The page does not say.
- If you want us to call in Japanese or collect the item where the facility allows it, contact us with the confirmation you received. After we receive the item, we pack it and ship it internationally; we quote shipping methods and fees individually, and arrival dates are not guaranteed.
How Lost and Found Japan can help
- Contact the General Information desk, the airline or the police station in Japanese and relay the answers to you
- Help you describe the item the way the desk asks
- Collect the item on your behalf, only where the facility allows a representative
- Pack the item and ship it internationally once we have it
- We cannot search the airport ourselves and we cannot make a facility release an item. We work within what the facility allows.
