新千歳空港 · Hokkaido (北海道), Hokkaido (北海道)

Short answer

Already left Japan?

  1. Identify the right contact from the table above. Airline items go to the airline; terminal items go to the domestic or international Lost and Found Office.
  2. Call using the +81 format. The official page asks overseas callers to enter the international access code ("+" on a mobile phone), then 81, then the number without its leading 0.
  3. If the item is confirmed found, ask the office how long it will be held and what it needs to release the item. The official page we checked does not state either.
  4. Ask whether a representative may collect it and what documents they need. This is the office’s decision and may differ between offices.
  5. If you would like us to speak to the office in Japanese or handle collection where the office allows it, contact us with the confirmation.
  6. After we receive the item, we pack it and ship it internationally. We quote available shipping methods and fees individually, and arrival dates are not guaranteed.

How Lost and Found Japan can help

  • Contact the relevant office in Japanese and relay the answers to you
  • Help you prepare the information and documents the office asks for
  • Collect the item on your behalf, only where the office allows a representative
  • Pack the item and ship it internationally once we have it
  • We cannot search the airport ourselves and we cannot make an office release an item. We work within what the office allows.

Lost and Found Japan is an independent private service. We are not an official airport, airline, customs or police lost-and-found desk. Consult with us.
