Kitakyushu Airport Lost and Found

北九州空港 · Fukuoka (福岡県), Kyushu (九州)

Short answer

Kitakyushu Airport’s official inquiry page gives three routes: items left on a plane go to your airline, items left on the airport bus go to the Nishitetsu customer centre (050-3616-2150, which the page marks as foreign-language capable), and everything else, or if you do not know where, goes to Kitakyushu Air Terminal Co. (0570-05-4195). The page notes the Terminal Co. cannot transfer calls to an airline. No hours are printed. If you are already home, start with the route that matches where you lost it.

Already left Japan?

  1. Pick the route above that matches the place of loss. The official page lists phone numbers only; no online form is listed and no hours are printed.
  2. For the airport bus, the Nishitetsu line is marked as foreign-language capable and uses an IP-phone prefix (050) that should be reachable from abroad.
  3. The Terminal Co. number begins 0570, which may not connect from abroad. If it does not, ask us to call.
  4. If the item is confirmed found, ask how long it will be held and what is needed to release it. The official page states neither.
  5. Ask whether a representative may collect it and what documents are needed. The official page does not say.
  6. If you want us to call in Japanese or collect the item where the facility allows it, contact us with the confirmation you received. After we receive the item, we pack it and ship it internationally; we quote shipping methods and fees individually, and arrival dates are not guaranteed.

How Lost and Found Japan can help

  • Contact the Terminal Co., the bus operator or the airline in Japanese and relay the answers to you
  • Help you describe the item the way the desk asks
  • Collect the item on your behalf, only where the facility allows a representative
  • Pack the item and ship it internationally once we have it
  • We cannot search the airport ourselves and we cannot make a facility release an item. We work within what the facility allows.
