Miyazaki Airport Lost and Found

宮崎空港 · Miyazaki (宮崎県), Kyushu (九州)

Short answer

Miyazaki Airport’s official FAQ says lost items are handled at the 1F Information desk in the airport building (main number 0985-51-5111). For items left on the aircraft, it says to contact the airline you used, and lists each airline’s general reservation line. The FAQ is in Japanese only. If you are already home, call the Information desk, or contact us for help calling in Japanese.

Already left Japan?

  1. For the airport building, call the Information desk. The FAQ lists a phone number only; no online form is listed and no hours are printed.
  2. Call in the +81 format (drop the leading 0). For the airline numbers (0570), calls from abroad may not connect; if they do not, ask us to call.
  3. For an item left on the aircraft, contact the airline you flew. The FAQ lists airline reservation lines rather than dedicated lost-property lines.
  4. If the item is confirmed found, ask how long it will be held and what is needed to release it. The FAQ states neither.
  5. Ask whether a representative may collect it and what documents are needed. The FAQ does not say.
  6. If you want us to call in Japanese or collect the item where the facility allows it, contact us with the confirmation you received. After we receive the item, we pack it and ship it internationally; we quote shipping methods and fees individually, and arrival dates are not guaranteed.

How Lost and Found Japan can help

  • Contact the Information desk or the airline in Japanese and relay the answers to you
  • Help you describe the item the way the desk asks
  • Collect the item on your behalf, only where the facility allows a representative
  • Pack the item and ship it internationally once we have it
  • We cannot search the airport ourselves and we cannot make a facility release an item. We work within what the facility allows.

Lost and Found Japan is an independent private service. We are not an official airport, airline, customs or police lost-and-found desk. Consult with us.
